Position Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer – Web Applications to design, develop, and maintain the company’s e-commerce website and internal web systems. This role focuses on building and supporting online product catalogs, customer interactions, and secure transactions that support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain the company’s e-commerce website, including product catalogs, inventory management, customer accounts, and online ordering.
- Implement new web features to improve usability, including product search, filtering, responsive design, SEO optimization, and analytics integration.
- Build and maintain back-end services and databases to ensure accurate handling of product, order, and customer data.
- Troubleshoot, test, and resolve front-end and back-end issues to maintain system reliability and security.
- Integrate third-party APIs for payment processing, shipping and logistics, and customer service tools.
- Optimize website performance and scalability across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to support digital campaigns and customer engagement.
- Document software workflows and provide internal technical support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in web or software development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with back-end development and database systems.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks, content management systems, API integration, and e-commerce platforms.
Knowledge and skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) is a plus.
